Children’s Day
The heart and soul of any great Institution are its curious beating hearts, its inquisitive minds, its bundle of carefree energy, the torchbearers of a surer tomorrow, its ever-energetic students.
At AVRS, Children’s Day was celebrated with due mirth, laughter, and reverence. This day commemorates the birthday of India’s First Prime Minister, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was fondly known as Chacha (Uncle) Nehru as he adored children and was also the living embodiment of peace which reflected in his pristine white attire and love whereby he always had a rose which is an emblem of pure love.
The young aspiring students of AVRS put forth a medley of poignant multilingual speeches to reiterate the significance of this special day. As a wonderful conclusion to the day’s events, the Principal emphasized on Pundit Nehru’s famous words: ‘आराम हराम है’ which can be translated as ‘Lethargy is lethal’ and urged the students to be agile and proactive and to convert their goals into their responsibilities.
