Since time immemorial, nature has been worshipped by Man in various forms, worldwide there are various festivals and rituals dedicated to Mother nature.
One such festival that is celebrated by different names in different parts of India is the harvest festival. It is called Pongal in the south of India. It is a festival spread over four days, dedicated to the farmer, the bullock and most importantly the first harvest.

At AVRS, various cultural events were presented to thank the bounty of Mother Nature and seek her blessings. There was song and dance to add a festive feeling to the celebrations.
