Karthigai Deepam

The Karthigai Deepam festival symbolizes the lighting of the inward lamp to ward off all obscurity and evil. The myriad flames shimmering in the wind, but still aspiring to rise higher and higher at every AVRS campus portrayed resilience and ardent dedication in the face of adversity, the key to a life worthy of living.

Innumerable earthen lamps were lit towards a collective, arduous and relentless aspiration for insatiable wisdom. The Diyas was placed with great thought and significance, be it the traditional Swastika on the very impressive AVRS football field, the lotus signifying beauty in despair, or a very pertinent message ‘Stay safe’, all were destined to awaken a sense of responsibility for a better tomorrow, a more harmonious and luminous individual and collective existence.
